AC checking for leaks when compressor won't turn on
So if you know you have a slow leak, but its been a while since the compressor has turned on, how do you find the leaks?
1) I could feel for sticky residue, but I had my engine compartment pressure washed so this probably won't work
2) I could refill the entire system, and THEN check for leaks, but if I replace a part, won't I have to refill the entire system again?
2a) When you vacuum out R134, how do u reuse it? What tool do you need to do this?
3) Does the soapy water technique work if the system is not on?
