2005 Mercedes C230
Went in today for cam solanoid recall and a wheel alignment. Had a $50 and a $100 coupon in my pocket. Dropped the car off, sat down in the waiting room and watched some TV.
30 mins into it, SA came over and said I'm going to need the infamous 4 alignment bolts (caster and camber). I said "Cool, go for it, how much?". Figured maybe another $150 max on top of the $120 they charge for wheel alignment and I'll use my $100 coupon but oh boy was I wrong. SA said the total would come out to $420. I told him to forget about it and just do the recall but he said they already aligned the rears and had to charge me $120 for the alignment no matter what. So I used my $50 coupon and left there with a $70 dollar alignment. Have to get the bolts myself and see how I'm going to align the front.
Bunch of crackheads lol Arghh I hate when they get me like that

Just had dist. cap and rotor installed on my W124. $267-100 coupon. $167 after the dust cleared. Not bad. When this thread was revived this year, I mentioned breaking records. As some people had said earlier, not running to the stealer as much these days. Trying to avoid them if I can. I may get a four wheel alignment before the end of the month. That's about it. No records for me. At least not this year, anyway

Still got the record!!! When does this expire?
An Alignment would be good.

Last couple days for this rodeo!!
I had a wheel alignment done. Used the 50 buck coupy. Guess that's it for me. (2) $100 and (1) $50. Helps my wallet a bit Oh well, C230 Sport Coup, I'll come at you next year

I could really use an alignment. No one else will touch the camber adjustment bolts, but no guarantee they will either.
I'm not sure if holding the record here is a good thing, but I kinda got caught up in it,
with that show that was on TV, Extreme Couponing.
But I was Mercedes extreme couponing, which is ENTIRELY different.
If it wasn't for my crazy X goading me on, with her contract law I woulda bugged out, but she
kept saying, hey yer not doing anything wrong, and it's not iilegal.
When I got chased out of the Fremont dealership on my 5th trip that was kinda embarrassing.
I had to start going further out to Autobahn.
Well fact is, they got paid. And the best part was the warm happy feeling one gets from outstealing the Stealers.
I still have a lot of those parts, sold 2 sets of brake pads and one set of wiper blades.
My brakes weren't as bad as I thought they were so still have the rotors, and a set of
Akebono pads waiting...ha, sold 2 set of stock pads paid for the Akebono's.
Have a new cabin air filter that I think is finally due. Though, the carbon ones seem to hold up
pretty well.
Well, just called. Alignment is 169. I'd need another 31 dollars and they won't bend.
What could I have them do for $31? Ha. Just have a mechanic breathe on it.
Dramatic look mechanic!! TaDa!

I have a coupon for an alignment for 100 at fletcher jones in Fremont. I could send you a picture of the coupon and I am pretty sure you could just show that and they will accept it

Actually my SA looked at my VIN# on the coupy when I gave it to him. First time he did that but glad everything was cool on my end. I would be careful with using someone else's coupy. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, that is it. VIN# specific, too. They are fine tuning the process so multiple coupys aren't printed out Well that's not fair $250 is easy to get to at the stealer!!

I'd guess no on parts.
125 off 250, that would easily cover a brake fluid flush and an oil change.

Just used my $100 coupon for my 06. Took it in for a check engine light because i didn't have time to deal with it. They inspected the car for other problems and found a total of $2800+ in repairs that were covered under my aftermarket warranty. With the repairs + the $185 for c300 loaner for the week, my $250 deductible, a $10 gasket and an additional $10 for the loaner the warranty didn't cover, the total I owed was $296. I have to say it felt so wrong to whip out a coupon at an MB dealer while standing 30 feet from a $100,000 car, but I walked out of there with close to a $3000 ticket for under $200 thanks to that coupon. Thanks guys for posting the link to those coupons

The minimum has increased
Just tried it and got - save $150 on $300. Sucks was hoping to use on Service A which I just got quoted $269. Will now go to an independent and keep the coupon in the back pocket just in case ...

Damn! I submitted my info for the coupon and received my email verification. I clicked on the "PRINT" button and nothing happened (it didn't print). I clicked on it again and nothing happened. Clicked a third time and get a message "exceeded number of prints". Now I'm out of luck.
I'm on a Mac running Safari, maybe the coupon page didn't like my web browser.
Oh and by the way, a big hello to everyone here.

Ha, thats easy just have them replace the air filter...
Keep in mind the
A service only includes an oil change and inspections and top ups.
Anything needed in terms of actual parts is extra.
So have them change a belt, or filter, or wipers or whatever.
OR just get an oil change (they'll do an inspection anyway, because they want to sell you more crap) and either an alignment or a brake fluid flush.
