Can everyone please advise on whether to get 18' or 19' of wheels? What are the advantage and disadvantage? and tire mileage? Any input would be appreciated.

It all depends. 19s look better, but you will lose some HP over it. 18s look great to me, and allows you to keep more HP. So it's all up to you.
For me, I couldn't get 19's on my Lorinser, so I stuck with the 18's. Looks great to me.

18s are perfect enough. I've just changed to 18s and can't believe how much different that makes and my car isn't lowered yet. 19s would look better but for the cost and power loss and potential rub problem and stuff is just not worth it IMHO of course.

Some -- not all -- of the pics with 19" wheels make the car look kind of like a toy to me, or like one of those cartoon cars you might see in the Looney Tunes or something (fwiw).

They are right. For ride comfort 18's are the probably the best. The ride w/my 18's have been pretty good. But you know what, now more cars come w/stock 17's(like Audi's, Lexusetc) so 18's don't have that same impact as years ago. I regret now getting 18's myself, I wish I would've gone w/19's
so I'm not making the same mistake twice, I ordered 19's for the Audi
. 19's are the answer unless you will let your g-friend drive the car or you live in pothole alley.

I prefer 19's just the fact that 18's seems to be the norm these days... if you want to stand out get the 19's... the drawback is their heavier and tires are expensive...

18 or 19's?
Guys, thanks for all the comments.
I searched couple threads in this forum that with the right offset, tire sizes (235 Front , 255 Rear), even 19's lowered with H & R Cupkit shouldn't rub or need fender rolled. Or is that depends on the rims or tire brand? Thanks again guys!

you will definately need to get fenders shaved if you are going to get 19s. but 19s are definately better than 18s. like i have said on other threads..... 18s are for girls, my gf rolls on 18s.

19" wheels are disproportionately big for the C Class. Looks silly, IMO. On top of that, they are heavier (making your car slower), provide harsher ride and are more vulnerable (as there is less rubber to protect them).

well HREs are the same price as Brabus. Renntech makes affordable forged rims.... carlsson has the 1/16 forged. Dronell is coming out with a forged rim that is similar to the carlsson 1/16 but a fraction of the price.... i heard the carlsson 1/16s cost 7Gs.. and that is for one-piece 19's without tires!!
