I would check with whomever is going to do the work first and see if they will allow you to bring your own parts. Some shops do not allow it.

I see, how many axles did you rebuild? How much did it cost?
How long time did it take to take care of everything?
Thanks :-)

Sorry, am I going to ask the mechanic if they could change the front axles for mercedes?
Or shall I have them look at and estimate the car first?

I tried to drive it today, the clicking sound in the front is becoming loud and its annoying.
I wonder will it die if I try to drive to school around 5miles from home..

c240 4matic axle driveshaft rear diff problems

hey whats going on everyone i got a c240 4matic 04 when i got the car everything was fine clean no problems had 146789 miles year later the problems started first when i turn the steering wheel all the way to the left or right the whole car shakes then when i put it in reverse or drive still on the brake it shakes took it to benz dealer they told me its my engine and tranny mounts i said ok how much to change they said 900 something dollars lab and parts i said ok do it car was done went to pick it up paid go in the car itsa doing the same thing went back in side dude said leave it again the tech's are gonna look at it again couple days latter called me said ur front left axle is bad and he said its gonna cost 1200 some dollars to replace part and labour so i argued with them they brought the price down to 800 some dollars so no more shaking so thats what happens when u take it to the benz shop then about the steering all the way to 1 side they said that the gear oil in the fron diff needs to be changed and it would cost 240 dollars nice huh gear oil is about 15 bucks and u take of the front passanger wheel of and un do the nut and use a pump to pump the old oil out and put new on in simple no other work requiered i changed the rear diff fluid before the front one thats when it started to get a vibration when am going down the road after that drove it like that for about a year and it started to get worse so i started to take the car apart rear diff in peaces the rear diff went out still till this day am figuring this car out and the problems with the help of my bro in law master machanic so now the rear axle are bad cant find those yet the front one are 69 dollars at oreilly auto parts with my account also going to change that but now am learning the the common problem the 4matic have is that the driveshafts go bad do to the u joint universal joint and the flex disc that is on both ends of the rear driveshaft connected to the rear diff and tranny so yea thats a part of my story with my c240 i love the car thats why am not gettin rid of it but there is more to my story if u got any questions feel free to ask i will try to do my best to answer and all i can say is dont take ur benz to the benz shop they will rip u a new as* hole hahah i will not let anyone tuch my car after what happened to me later fellas

2005 C240
I have a very similar issue after having a indy replace both inner boots on my 2005 C240.

Could it be a reinstall error?
