Do you want another cluster so you can have gauges manufactured?

You do know, that it will cost around 800 bucks easily from any benz dealer/.

I forgot the part number, its right on top of the cluster tho. Just insert a hanger in each side of the cluster and push it will pop RIGHT out. U can then have access to the part number. I took my cluster aprat once to try to change light bulbs. Turns out there led so id have alot of soldering to do

I need a Coupe cluster because the sedan cluster is too different to make the white gauges from...

Yeah i tried it with the sedan cluster. The hump on top of the coupe cluster makes it hard to mkae gauges for.

Im nto sure how good white gages will look because of all the black on the perimiter of the coupe cluster. The inner frame around the LCD is all black, im just trying to imagine what it will look like..

Yeah, I know what you mean. I really want to get this prototype done, but all the clusters I find are sedans, not coupes.

Would you be willing to have them install the prototype gauges on your cluster?

If they are fulley removable, I would be willing to help out with my cluster if u need.

We are both in north Nj so it shouldnt be that bad, but it depends how extreme the installation is. I took my cluster apart already, just gotta make sure no dust gets in.

I dont really think we need a whole nother cluster to make gauges, maybe just one so the place can scan it to change colors?

Not sure of the procedures just one of my ideas lol

Thanks for the offer, but after doing this for several years you learn real quick that you never use a cluster that is from a working car. Basically the entire cluster needs to be taken apart, the actual gauge face scanned. After the design is done the gauge is put back together and we see how to make the 'overlay' fit without removing the needles. When you take the acutal gauge apart it is 99% likely that they will not function perfectly again. Usually you need to mark where you started and where you finished removing the needles...it takes too long. I can get several gauge clusters at around $70, but I cannot find coupe clusters for the life of me.

Yeah , i was in the same problem i wanted to change the lighting in my cluster, and was going to buy another one just to have, its cool to keep on a desk. I have a white gauges W202 cluster here from a c43, i just like starin at it.. got it for 50 bux on ebay a while back.

Im not even sure how a needle comes out on the coupe the needles are like recessed on the speedometer gauge, the other 2 look easy.

I dont think there are enough wrecked coupes out there for clusters to exist. It was really bothering me at one point then i just gave up.

How do the gauges actually get scanned because of the angle there on?

Thats only something we can figure out when we get them apart. I found a wrecked coupe but they won't part it out.

There's a W203 cluster (doesn't say sedan or coupe though) on ebay right now. Search for W203 and scroll down.

It's like $80
