Problem with the posi-traction does not release... Does anybody have experience
When I make a tight turn, there is clicking sound in the rear and a mechanic told me its the posi traction does not release.. some problem with the differentials?
They told me to go to the dealer and get it fixed..
Would it become a big problem?
Please have somebody to help..Thanks!

I didn't think any of our c-class cars had ilmited slip differentials (i.e. posi-traction). Please correct me if I'm wrong, because if they exist I want one.
If my above assumption is true, I would guess one of the half-shafts is binding and causing the problem. In either case, yes you want to have it taken care of before it becomes a real problem.

He has a 4Matic although I cannot verify what the gear style is ^^^
So it turns out it is not the half shafts eh? I would go to the MB dealer and ask for a diagnosis without telling them the information you have already. Let them come to their own conclusion and see if it matches what the other shop says.
