Oil pan help

I ran over a small rock, or so I thought, and it made a hole in my oil pan. I have a 2005 c230. Can anyone help with suggestions. I looked for the oil pan online but didn't find anyone who carries them, my guess: MB Dealer. How hard would it be if I did it. I worked on other cars before but not mercedes. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanx

The rock went through the plastic belly pan to the oil pan? That's a pretty sharp rock. I believe the only source for a new pan will be the dealer or an online parts place like rmeuropean or a trademotion dealer.

I found it thanx, its sells for $280. not bad. but the question now is if I should do it or have the dealer fix it. I read on another thread that I have to get engine off of the engine mounts, hmmm... I have experience fixing chevys and fords but mercedes... I tried a bmw once but ended up taking it to the dealer in the end.

I do not know what material your pan is made from but there is always the option of having it welded up but probably not in situ .Aluminium & steel pans are weld repaired in Australia.

I just clean the bottom of engine. It turns out that it is not a hole rather a crack about 2 inches wide and 1inch long forming a "Y" shape. Do you think JBweld fix it? Or I weld it do have to remove the pan from the car???

are you sure the hole is in the oil pan and not just the engine cover underneath? there is a cover that you have to take off to get to the oil pan so like capt paul was saying, it would have to be a hell of a rock to get through that and into the oil pan. if you had a hole in the oil pan, there would be oil leaking out and you shouldnt drive the car unless you want to blow the engine.
