So today I noticed something a little weird when I pulled into my garage.
Pulled in put the car in park. Pulled the keys OUT of the ignition. Got out of the car and noticed my tail lights and license plate blinked a few times. I have the car set to keep the lights on for the 30 seconds or so. Im not locking the car or touching any buttons on the fob. Im just leaving it unlocked since its in my garage. I cant figure out why the lights would blink though. Anyone hear of this or experience it?

Any help would be great

Lights do go out as they normally did. They are not staying on.

Did you go back and check to see if it turned off after the 30 secs? You might have a short and its draining the battery.

i would turn off the auto setting for the lights until you figure it out. like Phi was saying, it could be a broken link somewhere that tells the lights to turn off on their own so they stay on and drain the battery.

Rear Sam
After doing nothing at work today but researching this problem. Ive come to the conclusion that it has to be the rear SAM.

Does anyone else agree with this before I go and spend all the money?
Can someone also tell me how to remove the Rear SAM from the left driver side of the trunk to see if its corroded?

Just noticed the same problem on my car in the last few days. After locking the tails lights and fog lamps continuously blink. It is doing the exact same thing as your car did in the video. First noticed when I left my house yesterday (was probably blinking since I parked it the night before). Last night did the blinking again, I hit the lock again and a few seconds later the alarm went off. Did you ever get this problem resolved on your car?

I have an '02 C240
