Undervoltage error, voltage drop from 14v to 12v after start. New batt, Alt problem?

Hi all, I've been reading up on this topic and need a little clarity.
btw, its a 03 c240.

Car wouldnt start about 2 weeks ago. Battery was replaced. Was good for 10 days . Yesterday, "undervoltage turn off consumers" error appears. Happend again today, but not right away, about 10 minutes in (going to and coming from work).

voltmeter check revealed 14.2v @ start and slowly drops to 12v (within a minute). Reving the engine didn't help. Charged the battery for 2 hours yesterday, same error today after 10 mins of driving with no radio etc, just mandatory stuff.

What are your thoughts? I'm thinking its the Alternator/VR? Any tests i could to to verify? Anyone tried cleaning the "gummed up" brushed as per post here

well if you have new battery and its still doing the same thing then i would say its your alternator, same things happened to me so just get it replace before your car die in the middle of the road with no electrical power for emergency flash..
