slight squeal from belt water pump going???

2003 c240 4matic wagon
slight squeal from belt water pump going???
my 2003 c240 4matic wagon 127,km the belt is makeing some noise used to be silent

so I listened and it seems to come from water pump area

I turned off the car and grabbed the water pump pulley I wa abls to move it up and down slightly so i think the bearings are going


is there supposed to be any play????
