Seating Position

Just curious how everyone adjusts their seat.
I am 5 ft 9 yet I still like to have the seat height as low as possible. This somehow makes the car seem sportier.

I also noticed that I need to push the seat up further towards the steering wheel so that I can properly disengage the clutch. I find that on my previous car (auto) I could put the seat all the way to the back.

Anyone else have specific settings they like?

yup, i have my seat up farther than i would in an auto also for the same reason. i didn't like having to do that at first but i've gotten used to it and now i like being up further cause i feel i have better control of the car (which is nice in a sporty car).

i also like having the seat down as far as it will go in general, but the front of the seat much higher than the back (bucket seat effect). i don't know why, i guess i like the support under my legs. my wife is just the opposite, she likes the front of the seat even with the back. i feel like i'm sliding off onto the floor like that.

I like sitting with the seat high up (so I can see over the hood better), but with the rear of the seat lower than the front. I'm 5'11" and have noticed I have the seat pretty close to the dash (my knees are very close to the bolsters under the dash)!

I do high and low, depending on what I feel like. The only concerns are that my head doesn't hit the roof and that my knee doesn't hit the lower part of the dash. Why have just one driving position? After all, we don't use just one position for other things...

Um, right on.

Thanks for the suggestion about the knee adjustment, I'll have to try doing the bucket thing and see how that feels.
