HID FOGS
Anyone have any thuoght on them? I mean I did a projector retrofit and the lighting is great! Would the HID fogs even help? Or just blind oncoming traffic? Would I be better off using PIAA or Silverstar in the fogs?

I had them back in 2005 - 2007, before you could easily get slim HID's for $39 at DDM. I think I went through three sets of ballasts and bulbs.
I love the auto-light function and seeing the HID's light up as I approached the car. But, I got tired of having to replace the ballasts, etc., so I ended up just putting Hoen endurances.
One of these days, when I'm not too lazy, I'll put some HID's back in.
Here's are some old pics:
The lighting is great and they didn't blind oncoming traffic.
Since you know what you're doing with lighting, you might as well put HID's in.

i truely appreciate the response...... I might actually consider doing a FOG projector retrofit with the blazers... Im going to call TRS and see what I can do. But I do like the light output of your fogs though!

I love my HID fogs, they are bright and shine very wide, they dont really blind oncoming ppl because they are low and shine relatively at the ground.
Phil what kelvins are those? 8000K? so blue!

Trust me when I say i understand what you mean with this, but the aftermarket ones for the foglights are actually pretty good quality. The light spread is even with no hotspots and has a fairly sharp cutoff with an optically clear lens. The only bad thing about them is the fragile adjustment screw.

I have hid on my fogs and there's no issue for other drivers coming from the opposite side. It also helps to brighten the closest view of your road invade there are any potholes or things you'd like to avoid in the middle of the road..

Correction, Drove An '05 C230 Kompressor SS
$55 for the Blazers with a sharp cutoff light output.....Plus $25 max for the brackets and silicone, That price sounds much better then $200 shipped for Depot type replica fogs with cheap projectors in them IMO.
Plus with the Blazer projectors, you can put the Mini Gatling Gun Shrouds on for that ultra custom modified look for an additional $30.

Sorry these took me so long to get but here are the output shots of the projector foglights. I took these with my brothers DSLR but i wasnt really sure how to change the settings for the best shots.
Im running 3000k hid foglights and the images are shown with only the foglights on.
