Read this DIY. It tells you how to wire the power wires. We have to run the power acc wire the cigarette lighter so it'll turn on when we ignition is on. Of you just wire it through the harness it'll constantly stay on. The images are towards the bottom of the thread.

i noticed the 3browns, orange, and 2blues wires had nothing attached to them(the wires on harness).. are those suposed to be un attached?? i dont have these colored wires on my deck so they are un attached,,

did your harness tell you what wires connect to each one? I know scosche has the diagram on its bag. Brown wires are our ground, believe our blue is the illumination wire which attaches to the illumination wire of the cig lighter (you'll only need one blue wire, believe its the solid blue one cant remember), so you'll have two wires running to the cig lighter, one for the illumination and one for the power. you cant test the to see if the player powers up buy twisting the ACC power and constant power wire together and then touching it to the power wire on the OEM harness, it should turn the player on, so that should make sure to see if the player is working. From there you can test which wire connects to the cig acc to turn the player on when the car is on. I think its backwards where the ACC stays on the factory constant and the constant on the aftermarket harness goes to the cig lighter acc wire. Its been awhile since I did mine.
