2002 C230 Coupe Front End
Hey guys I was offered a C230 Coupe but it has some front end damage. It was backed into by a jeep and now theres a dent right on the emblem and above it and has rusted. Front bumper is cracked too and the grill has been pushed in a bit. I was thinking of replacing the hood, bumper, and grill. Does anyone have the part numbers for the hood and bumper? Any estimates on price?? I found a very good mercedes parts website when searching for my S430 but it doesn't seem to have any C Coupe parts but i emailed them and waiting for response. I did find a c class bumper in the $300 range but it maybe for the sedan. Will that fit the coupe?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

coupe and sedan bodyparts are not interchangible.
I believe that a new hood will set you back in the $600 range. Are you sure it can't be hammered out? Someone backed into my car, and I had the hood replaced and resprayed for $400, if memory serves.
Are both parts of the grille damaged? There's the top trim piece which is attached to the hood by 4 bolts; I had to replace mine, which was $125 at dealer (would have been cheaper online - if you do order online, make sure to get coupe parts; some of the sites don't make a distinction between coupe and sedan, and there is, of course). The lower part of the grille would run you more. Do a search on this forum; you might want to update the grille to the mid-model update one or a starless or the cheesegrater version. There are many options. Just make sure that nothing in the engine bay was damaged by the Jeep as well, and good luck with the purchase.

I'm gonna check about that too see if it's cheaper to have it hammered out if possible and repaint because of rust. The grill might be ok and only need to replace the hood and bumper surrounding since it only seems pushed back a little. I like the grill it has on it because it's the original 2002 grill with the chrome insert strips. The damage doesn't look deep enough to damage anything but i'll take a good look at it. Do you know anywhere i could order/look for prices concerning the bumper and hood because apart from painting or dent removal i assume i could do all the mounting and installing myself with some help.
