Hey guys,
I brought my car (2005 C230K) in for service (A) for the first time as I just bought the car in January. In February, I had emailed MBUSA to cover the Camshaft magnets and the revised wiring harness under the recall campaign. They called me shortly after saying they would not as it was VIN specific etc. However, when I scheduled my recent service my service advisor said my car had a camshaft soleniod recall that was open. Did they recall which I was very grateful for. Did they recently add more vehicles to the campaign?
On a side note they noted I need new rear brakes and a front ball joint. Where do you guys order OEM parts from besides the dealer? I have seen several sites listed here, however, I want to make sure I am buying a 100% OEM product.
