C200 to C32 conversion

Good day all. I am new to this site so please forgive me if I am asking a redundant question or please direct me to where I can be answered.

I recently purchased a local used 2001 W203 C200 kompressor ( I live in the Caribbean by the way). I am new to the euro car scene (other car is a turbocharged honda civic) but must say I am very pleased with what I am seeing thus far. The car is a very nice vehicle to drive, suspension, brakes, features etc. However, the power is a bit lacking, nice top end but acceleration sucks. Now here is my question.

In terms of performance upgrades:
Can I swap the engine with the engine from a W203 C32 AMG?
What are the requirements to do this?
If not, what are my performance upgrades for this vehicle? (W203 c200 komp.)

Or is it just advised that I leave the vehicle as is and stick with Honda as the project?

Again, I apologize if this is a repeated post.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, it could be done. However, it would probably be prohibitively expensive. Take a look HERE at some of the challenges, Pshek had going from a C320 to C32 in a Coupe. It was much more than just throwing a motor in the car.

Your car would be a bit more involved, I would imagine. I am assuming the C200 and the C320/C32 don't share the same block configuration or transmission mating configuration.

Thanks people for your inputs, much appreciated. Selling my C200 and buying a C32 is kinda out of the question (not really available in my country).
So I see the conversion is very involved,I would continue to do the research.
Can someone also point me in the direction in performance mods for the stock C200 engine?

thanks again in advance.

Have you looked at Kleemann for engine upgrades, such as the header or boost kit? I have have impressive results after installing the Kleemann products in my car.

Kleemann, ok, I'll have a look at them. Does Kleemann sell parts or do they only do in house builds?

So great, just spoke to Keemann and they informed me that they don't sell parts for my vehicle. Sucks. So I guess the verdict is just leave the cars as is. So I guess the Honda will remain the power house for now.

Yes you can upgrade your car to a full c32. But finding the engine is one thing, fitting it is another. You will need some MB expert to help you, a crane, and a lot of time and money to do it.

I can't point you to the right direction, but some of the members have, and you can do a search here in the forums.

Brabus and other companies do mod the C200. Have a good search. There are kits you can buy which give more power output. I'm not a moding type myself so I cant be more specific sorry. But if Brabus can get more power from the C200 engine, I assume there are others who can.

Maybe give Brabus USA a call. Maybe they can as the very least point you in the right direction;
http://www.brabus-usa.com/

Also have a read of this old brochure I found:
http://www.brabus-usa.com/pdfs/W203.pdf
Page 9 may be of interest to you.

Let us know please what you end up doing. I for one will be interested to see what happens. Will you get a new engine or will you find an upgrade kit.

I've got an '02 C320 wagon that I'd love to drop a C32 motor in. My engines got about 130k miles on it. If I still have this car in a couple years, then I might look into this swap too.

Good luck if you do try it.
