Road Trip!

Not long back from a 3000KM road trip across Newfoundland Canada, thought i would share some pics. Please forgive the bugs ect on the car as most of the trek was far from car washes and the like. Loved driving every min of it.

I've driven this distance before in my old Grand Prix GTP, at the end of witch i didn't want to see the drivers seat again for days. However with the Benz when i got back i took another run around the block just for fun.

Great highway car, so easy to get a speeding ticket as 180km/h feels the same as 100km/h.

Got about 7.3L per 100k total driving on avg 125km/h, seems like good mileage to me. thoughts?

7.3L per 100k to MPG is 32mpg

125 km/h is 77 mph

3000km to miles is 1,864.5

all these numbers look great man 32 mpg at 77 mph seems high for a 6 speed i got 37mpg at but driving at 55mph.
congrats on your trip I've been meaning to take a trip like that for a while now, how manny miles on your car btw

Yeah, i think it makes a huge difference going that extra 20mph. But i'm happy with the 7.3 per.

I rolled 60k as i pulled into the driveway. So that would be 37k miles or so. It's a catch22 for me as i want to keep the miles down, but i just love driving the thing.

Why keep miles down? It's going to depreciate, it's going to get old. In 5 years even if it only has 10,000 miles it is still going to be old. Just enjoy it. It was not meant to be a decoration, it was meant to be driven and that is its only purpose.

Yeah, but the main reason i try to keep the miles down is the extended warranty. 9000km away from expiring.

How about the gas mileage i got? I would really like some feedback on this. Would you say good bad or avg?

For that engine, I'd say very good.

I'd just run with it. My car is 2.5 years and 63k miles out of warranty.
