for the new speakers that you are putting in do you plan on using the stock housing? I am in the process of putting in after market speakers but don't know what to do about that housing and mounts

i decided to tuck it a bit..
lol jk. im having the worst time with my stereo though getting crazy static then i grounded my rcas and now it has static when i step on the brakes.. should be getting it fixed tomorrow with a filter. if anyone needs stereo work done in the LA area, hit up simons stereo in north hollywood. one of the few shops that actually knows what they are doing and will help you out.

the horror of install my sound system is over..
my car was getting horrible interference (to the point where i had to pull the main fuse to kill power to my amps). at first i thought it was the wiring that i did for my new speakers (thought it was getting interference from the power line) but it ended up being a picofuse inside my pioneer avic d3. this has been a pain in my *** for this entire week but im so glad its finally over and it didnt cost what people were saying that it would (i soldered it for free, costs 200 for pioneer to fix)
heres a couple of pics
and the final product
i just hooked it up to the car and tested it (yes at 2:30 AM lmao idgaf) and there was no noise so im happy.
the new Polk dxi 650/6500 sound a thousand times better than the stock boses (even un-tuned)
I can't wait to finally put my car back together tomorrow haha ive been driving without doorpanels/backseat/trunklining lmao
