Perhaps a silly question..... I've searched high and low on this forum finding only fixes for faulty lighters.

Q) how do I use the lighter??!!!

I can depress the black knob, but it doesn't pop out.

your fuse is most likely blown. thats why it doesnt warm up and then pop out

+1 to fuse or if yours is like mine when I bought the car it seemed to have something spilled on it which kept it depressed. Once I bought a new one it worked fine (I do not smoke but like everything to work and look nice)
