I figured the risk of running a solid alloy pulley would have scared them straight after ASP's experience, not worth their reputation. Just don't tell ASP, they'll raise their prices again which I believe is $360 if you supply the factory pulley and $650 if they do, an even bigger bargain now that the next cheapest pulley is about a grand more.

So is it true that Kleemann discontinued their pulley?

KLEEMANN has discontinued production of the M111 solid alloy pulley- and it has nothing to do with what happened to ASP (why should it?? its not OUR pulley that failed). Ring pulleys are also NLA.

Demand is not there, so supply is over when stocks run out, which is now.

Yeah! Before the jump I was thinking should I provide the pulley or not. Now it is a no brainer: just get the whole thing! What an easy decision...

It is a shame though. If anyone see these Kleeman pullies in person they look really well made. I've had one for about 6 months+ and no problems at all except a heavy right foot . KLEEMAN are you guys going to make intercooler for 2.3L kompressor engines or what? Particularly c230coupe of course.

Personally i dont think that sounds right to me. Out of all the big MB tuners yours was the cheapest C230k pulley. None of the others stopped selling them and they are all alot more expensive then yours. I am sure you guys have some products that dont even sell as much as the pulley and more expensive and did not discontine them.

Sounds to me like someone diden't wanna take a risk of a faliure since you never had one it always sounded to me like u were waiting for one.

Very disappointing... You just can't stop bragging, which means that -either- you are trying to hide behind ASP and gracefully exit -or- you didn't understand a thing about internal tensions that were the most probable cause of the ASP's pulley failure *and* are inherent in this type of pulley design no matter who makes the pulley... By contrast, dealing with Lee of ASP made me a true believer in that company that stands behind its products. Isn't this the real reason why you lost your business in this segment?

Ring pulleys are also NLA.

Call ASP, maybe they'll give you a bulk deal?

Thats what I love about the internet and forums- no matter what you say there will always be some who knows better- its always entertaining and dicy. :p

I fully inderstand rotational forces, material properties, FEA etc. Im not trying to exit from anything gacefully, etc. KLEEMANN has stopped production on many items over the years and will continue to do so when it makes no sense to continue with a product that has lived its lifespan. Read into it what you want.

Brandon, you continue to draw heat even in a products post life, maybe it's because you're such a fun target. But the past is past, what interesting items are in the pipeline?

Kleemann/Brandon, I agree with Buell lets move on and see what you will continue to do for the 2.3L (w203) komp engines. How about a real cold-air intake, better intercooler, a chip/ECU program to take advantage of pulley/intercooler, etc...

I doubt there will be anything new for the 2.3. It will be out of production soon. It's not like it's a small block Chevy with 10's of millions in existance and will be used by hot rodders and racers for years to come.

Does this also mean that their boost-kit is discontinued? (because that's what they're kit consisted of...)

What about for C200K anything new for us..... cos I just decided to buy an alloy pulley from Kleemann (one of its dealer in Asia), I guess mine will be one of the remaining unsold stocks........

I really look forward to other mods, ie intercooler, chip, etc........

Maybe now that MB and Chrysler are one in the same maybe they'll create and aftermarket performance company, MBopar and sell us performance upgrades directly like a drop in Hemi kit for the coupe.
