Shout out to MBW member "Star Rider"
A few weeks ago I had put up an ad on here asking for help from MBW members who live along the US-Canada border. I was looking to get some parts from RMEuropean and had found out that they dont ship to Canada anymore...and i was looking for the OEM Lemforder parts which are hard to come by here.
I received a number of responses from several members, but I pinged Star Rider because he was actually planning to drive up to Canada for the Jul 1 Canada day long weekend, and I could just pick up the parts from him here.
So I drove out to near Hamilton, ON and met up with him. He was a terrific guy. We chatted for a while about our cars etc.
I guess this post is just to say thank you to Brent, and also to hopefully serve as a reminder that there are some great people still out there...especially considering the recent spike in the number of "This guy from the forum screwed me or didnt send me a part I bought from him" kinda threads.

Ha, yes, a genuine person.
Actually I'm a manufactured person, assembled entirely from
Mercedes Benz parts.
I spent the evening recently helping
one of our newest members and most active modders, Jerkin,
bolt on his ASP pulley.
Yes, there's a lot of good people here.
I've got to meet a few. Ed, Blake, a bunch of guys down in LA at a meet in 2007,
Francis the mechanical engineer who showed me how to install ASP pulleys and had
all 3 iterations and helped in the design and testing.
The knowledge gained here has saved me thousands and
maintain my vehicle very well, despite having 172K miles
and pass along a lot of good advise.
I've bought and sold parts on the forum, and it's always worked out fine.
