No worries, next time. I think were going to need a photo shoot with the new white beauty, that thing is sharp! The black and white mix will look pretty damn good together. Let me know if your free in the coming weeks/months, whenever. I will be around, as will the car.

Pull in to work this morning and see this little gem. That blows me out of the water in any and all performance category, but id say my C hold ups pretty well in the eye candy category. One sexy car though

you out of your mind! That Maseratti is waaaaaaay out there on any level, sexy is understatement!
You should watch the guy come out and and hear his engine purr...changes you perspective drastically!

Surprised I haven't seen this thread before
Great transformation. The quads look awesome and those wheels are very sexy. Keep it up man
Baseball player (college) . I spoke to him on facebook.
He said it's a Turbonetics T30 which I am assuming it's similar to a gt30. He is using stock ecu and he is boosting 7psi. He said he put down 350 wheel.
The ME9.x family can handle boost. Ford uses the ME9.x on their low boost cars (ecoboost). E55 fuel pump with E55 injectors.
Jake from eurocharged made this pic available.

Couple of months back maybe more the car was spotted online in the classifieds. There was a thread about it in the 204 section. If it was close by I would have went and scoped out the car. Rumor has it that it's a mid mount. That's all I know about this mysterious turbo 350.

Back with an update up the car.
Since my last post, i've ordered and installed 6000K HIDs, 194 wedge LED DRLs and 194 white LEDs in my clear side markers. I have also ordered a tune from eurocharged (should be taking delivery of the remote tuning cable some time today) which I am really looking forward too. The car will probably be tuned some time mid next week so I will report back on the improvements . For those of you who have a tuned M272 6-speed, anything in particular stand out after the tune?
As for what is coming up next. I will start researching coilovers during the winter so I will know exactly which ones to get come spring time. The thought of getting the CF front lip has also crossed my mind, but being that I have to deal with Boston winters, that may not be an option.
I will post some updated pictures as soon as I get them

So I finally got around to installing the 5000K DRL and side markers from AZN optics and I think they look pretty good. They match 100% with my 6000K 55w HIDs surprisingly. I was expecting them to be a bit off, but the color match is bang on. Since I was already snapping some photos, I figured I'd take two more night shots.
The car is also getting a remote Eurocharged tune tonight at 7 can't wait.

soooo....yea. This weekend turned out to be en epic ****ing fail. It was supposed to be a fun weekend in Jersey with the boys at a car show, but was not what ended up happening.
Saturday morning, on the way to the beach before the show, I get rear ended......but to make it worse, the guy who rear ended me.......WAS WITH US! Not really sure what happened but someone stopped short making everyone else punch the brakes. I kind of wish that I was in the back because nothing would have happened then. The guy who hit me has an 03 stage II jetta 1.8t.....but one thing that weren't stage 2......his brakes . I probably out braked him by 20 feet, unfortunately there were only about 15 feet between us . The sport breaks on these C230s are insane to say the least.
As you can tell from the pictures....VWs are made up of a bit more plastic that I thought.
Moral of the story Mercedes > Volkswagon

My mechanic was telling me about the brake sensors a few days ago. When you "punch them hard" the sensor reads that as an emergency, and the hydraulics kick in and hit the brakes harder than you could with your feet. He said that it's "scary" how fast you stop when that kicks in. I said "Well, hopefully there's another Benz behind you...or else you'll have someone in your trunk."

Brake Assist senses how quickly you lift off the throttle and stab the brakes in order to determine when you are panicked. Per my tests, if you are coasting and not touching the throttle then suddenly stab at the brakes BAS will not work. Apparently it needs to be able to compare throttle lift off speed with brake application speed to make a determination. Thus, if you aren't pressing the gas right before you hit the brakes, no BAS activation.
You can tell when it is activated because the brake pedal will seem to pull away from your foot as though an invisible foot is pressing harder on it than you are.

Feels like its been forever since i've updated this thread....work has been busy.
Haven't been able to to do much with the car since my last update. Aside from normal washing and waxing, not much has changed. Last week I met up with two guys from the E-class section of the forum. One with an E55 AMG and one with an E63 amg. Needless to say my C was the runt of the litter, but if you closed your eyes and listened to the exhaust......you sure would not be able to tell it was the runt lol
I will probably be picking up a set of coilovers in a few weeks in preparation for next spring. The rear fenders will probably need a bit of work (10 inch wide in the back) but it will work out. No new pictures to add, but I did manage to snap a photo the group I am usually with. The white 300Z is an animal...

Only back to my old rims for the winter. Forgestar was not able to do anything about the rim. They blamed the tire mounters and the tire mounters blamed shipping. I didnt want to deal with the hassle so I let it slide. The bend is only slight, and it is not the wheel which is bent, its just the outer lip. I made sure to let forgestar know I was not happy, and I let them know that in a review. They are still amazing wheels none the less.

So its about that time I start looking for a set of coilovers and projector heads/fogs for the spring. I am pretty sure im going to go with Depo for the head, and probably the generic projector for the fogs.
Now as for the coilovers, I am on the fence about which ones to get. I was bouncing between two, but I know there are many that could also be suitable.
H&R: Ive heard they provide a pretty serious drop if you want one, but the spring rate makes them unbelievable stiff.
Vogtland: My friend has them on his B6 S4 and they are surprisingly comfortable. I bet these have a bit more body role than most, but I would rather be on the softer/more comfortable side than the better performing/stiffer side. I am primarily looking for just the right drop, and really need that much of an improvement in cornering.
I was told to just do spring, but it just doesn't feel right running a shock at a different height and with a different spring then factory specs.
Any recommendations? Ive heard Tien and Ksport tossed around also, but again, I have not heard much about those.
recommendations?

Had Tein basics on mine and ride was really comfortable. Everyone that rode on them was surprised how smooth it was. Now you can go for coilovers with dampening adjustment so you can dial in the ride comfort. I'm going with BC Racing coilover now (being built as I type). 30 way dampening adjustment and good build quality. A lot of BMW forums give it great reviews. Since you're so concerned with ride quality I say get coilover with adjustable dampening. OR you can get springs and toss on some Koni Yellows and call it a day, It'll cost a little less for the Koni Yellows + springs. Theres a set on ebay right now for 699 free shipping. So say about 850-900 compared to 1000+ but with the Yellows you can adjust the dampening so you can dial in soft or firm for ride comfort. If I didnt get my BC's I was thinking of getting H&R + Koni Yellows, its a great combo, good drop and adjustable ride comfort, can't go wrong.

i absolutely love those wheels and almost purchased them myself... but one reason i held back was that i heard of many cases of them bending.
even when i called to order them and i wanted 18's... they asked me what model of car to make sure i didn't have a heavy sedan. the salesman told me that they were having problems with 18's bending for "larger cars"... however after searching online i found people selling their bent forgestars from smaller cars too.

I am just worried that their whole "rotary forged flow formed" process isn't as refined as they say it is. I personally think they might be pushing the limits of weight/performance and sacrificing structural integrity/durability... but I tend to lean on the conservative side (especially b/c these wheels aren't cheap).
I just wanted to give you heads up.... and I hope they treat you well.
Overall, very sick looking wheels and one of my favorite styles.
