DDMTUNING 35W HID Problem
Hey guys, i installed my hids 2 days ago. They worked fine for two days and all of a sudden both of the lights went off at the same time.
After they went off, they would flicker every 5 seconds as in if they were trying to turn on.
Should i got to the dealer and set xenon = present or do you guys think there is another problem ?
Since they both went off at the same time and i received check low-beam headlight error, i believe it might be an error eliminator solution.
I need some advice before ordering error eliminators or the relay harness, please helpp !

It depends on your dealer. Some have gotten it done for free and others have had to pay an hours worth of labor charges. My dealer only charged me $45 to do it with supplied instructions.

I got a dealer to do if for free. It really depends on how much your service adviser likes you and if they are busy. I have had the dealers do some very nice things for me while I wait for free. That said I have spend some money at said dealers as well as my father so that obviously helps. I would say under $50 is not a bad deal. It is not like the computer to do it is cheap and that if they don't know who you are you obviously are not the dealer going type so why waste there time if they will never see you again.

Hey guys, i called about 6 different dealers and shops, and all of them wont do it or know even how to do it.
If i order error eliminators would that fix it as well or ???
This one dealership wanted to charge me 150 just to hook up the car to the computer when they dont even know how to change the setting.
I have the directions for it, but i am not paying 150 dollars.

What exactly have you asked for because they should know how to do it.

I would change your approach. Tell them you need one setting changed in Star. That way they don't know what you want done till you show up and hopefully are 1 on 1 with the star guy. American Service Center in Arlington did mine for free but that is a hike for you and I have been a client of theres for years. I would rather have this done and then add capacitors if needed.

Yeah man seriously, if you don't have those error resistors.. Forget it bro. They will all day all night. After reading so many hid posts, it's a hit and miss with the xenon=present.
I got the resistors installed and worked fine. I don't know if it's my kit but sometimes the right side won't turn on (But have them running all the time)
Check the wiring, or simplest solution, i ended up swapping both sides with ballast to troubleshoot.. picked up a new balast for 20$ on kijiji.
And hid are too much fun, n o more stock!! Next are my fogs...

Did you get the digital slim ballasts or the analog Raptor ballasts? Everyone thinks you should get digital but you should actually go with the Raptor. I have owned and talked with many people who have owned several kits of both types, the digital slim ballasts always gave me trouble, never had any trouble from the cheaper Raptor kits.
