Wow, it sure is hot in Canada, 85C. I can only tell you where it is on my car and hopefully it's in the same spot on yours. Mine is on the passenger side front bumper cover in the plastic cross hatched area to the right of the fog light. It's a small cone, about 1 1/2" long and is push fit into a hole from the back and reachable without taking the bumper cover off but you'll need to remove the plastic belly pan or the front part of the inner fender which is easy. What probably happened is it got pushed in and fell on something hot like against the radiator when you put on a customer bumper cover or the lip.

Yep, 85C is about right for a coolant temperature in a warmed-up engine.

Take it to the dealer. Your car is still well covered by warranty.

That's the right place

According to my workshop cd that is the right location of the sending unit. Next to the front left fog light. This will tell you ambient outdoor temp. Will not be accurate if car is standin still with engine on. Car should be moving.

Had the some problem.. my outside temp sensor read 140 degrees F.. Service rep thought it was because the sensor fell off and was reading the engine temperature, but turns out it was defective. So it was replaced under warranty and no problems after that.

skinny long arms are essential. Hey Buell what about using this sensor for your intake temp? Or use two and toggle between I/O intercooler temps?
