Activating COMAND unit?
Just got my car today, the COMAND system is off (screen never turns on) and I have no idea how to turn it on. When the car is turned on, in between the gauges it tells me NAV wait then later NAV with four dashes underneath. Does the dealer need to give me a code so I can activate it? Will they activate it free of charge?

You may have a blown fuse either way, I would take the car back to the dealer and have them diagnose the issue. Oh, there are no codes for the system.

I bought the car cheap at a salvage auction in California I'm in Chicago that's why
Unfortunately the dealer was booked for the day but they did confirm that no codes were needed
I also had a look at the fuse boxes and all seemed fine so it might be something more serious
Another thing I noticed is what looks like one of those mp3 player plugs in the glove conpartment at least I think that's it, aux cable plugged right in
