Anyone have a shifter linkage diagram or pics for a 6sd manual
I managed to downshift into reverse the other day in my 06 2 speed manual. Ever since I have to force the car into reverse and hold it in gear or it will pop out and grind.
I hope I just bent / damaged the linkage as all other gears shift fine and would like to see a diagram before I waste time jacking he car up.
Any help or suggestions?
A shop is out of the question at this point as I travel during the week for work and I just moved to a new location and don't just trust any mechanic.
Thanks in advance

There is little to no lock out on my car. I am the original owner, it only has 34,000 miles on it and it has always been very easy to move into reverse instead of first. I have done it in a parking lot, sitting at a light, etc. but never in a turn like this.
I was shifting pretty hard so i just hope I bent a linkage I just hope I can find some images online before I jack the car up.

well I don't think I can get the dealership to replace the trans at this point. My old 4 speed vette had an actual lock out lever you had to pull up before it would go into reverse.
Got any info on the lockout assembly? Maybe I just bent something or that's my hope anyway.
As long as I press the clutch down fully and hold it firmly in reverse I get no grind and it moves fine, just if I let go it pops out of gear.
