Read through this and helped so much in fixing my key that suddenly stopped working (still opening doors but not being recognized in ignition).
Opened up the key and noticed that the coil had come adrift. After opening my other key to get an idea of how it was supposed to be and looking at the pics on the thread I tried some careful soldering (I am a novice and know it is not neat!) managed to get it back on the board and now working!!!
New keys in Zimbabwe are US$ 370 from the Dealership and take 2 to 7 weeks to get - really appreciate all of your help

That is a brilliant illustration. Thank you for that. I have a "no crank, no start" issue, which I'm struggling with (likely BAS/ESP module, possibly combined with wheel speed sensor). Assuming you're still active on here, I'd humbly ask for your opinion regarding troubleshooting. Thanks!
