![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I recently had a local garage replace my A/c Compressor, and dryer. They pulled a vacuum on the system, and started charging it, but never got any cold air. I've tried the recirculate & defrost button trick, and nothing seems to be getting me cold air. The shops computer (a SnapOn brand one) only showed an issue with a flapper motor for my footwells which I knew about already. I'm in about a thousand bucks now with no A/c... Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks!
Thanks!

At the moment my air conditioning system isn't blowing cold air. The machanic checked it over and came to the conclusion it's the "AC temperature switch". I have the part but haven't had time to install it yet. I believe your air conditoning system has to be discharged and then re-filled for this process. The mechanic next to where I work has the equipment for the air conditioning system is going to do this for me.
RMeuropean.com lists the part (#203 830 04 72). Hopefully this will solve the problem. I will follow up on this thread when I have finished the job. Maybe in the next few days.

Changed the AC temperature switch and it did not solve the problem. Checked the fuses, and power going to the compressor which checked out okay. I'm thinking the AC compressor may need replacing. Has anyone ever had problems with thier AC compressor abd had to replace it. If I need to replace it, is there any suggestions or easier way to remove the unit?

I am having the same problem as well.
At first it was the lack of freon, so I filled it up. Then it still wasn't blowing cold air. I tried resetting it, and it stayed on for quite a while. My friend (pretty amazing tech, saved me about 1k with my previous problem) took a look at it and said it might be the compressor but I don't know how I feel about that now that I hear these stories.
