Summer heat
Summer's here and my car is starting to heat up when parked outside during the work day.
Do people still use those sunshades in the front window?
Or is it a myth that they prevent damage to the instrument cluster in the car?
What's a good source for a custom yet inexpensive sunshade for my C230 coupe?

Definitely -- don't park under trees! I use one of those silver round folding windshield things that works pretty well. You know, two round sections that pop open and you lay behind the visors -- much better than the cardboard ones. MB-BOB has a permanent shade that he attached to the right side of the windshield and he swears by it...He can tell you more about it, or, just "STFF"

I use one of those round, silver reflective sunshade (or whatever you call it), and I tilt up my sun roof. Also put up the rear sunshade if you have it. Helps a lot.
