HitUpOlas 05 C230 finally picture worthy
I have been on the forum since before I purchased my Benz, just want to say thanks to all the great info on here and those that contribute.
Bought the car back in Feb. It's an 05 C230 SS with 6spd Man., Comand, HID, black MB Tex., Aux plug, 6 disc changer.
Mods: Installed clear front fog lamps and sidemarkers. Grill and emblem on from previous owner. The wheels were on the car too but were curbed. I repaired them and then coated them. New tires Dunlop Direzza DZ101 235/40/18 front and 265/35/18 rear. Added all weather floor mats. Installed IPOD interface. K&N air filter, ram intake.
Maintenance: Factory extended warranty for the first 3k miles so I had these items fixed for free: Motor and transmission mounts, A/C compressor, sunroof switch, cam sensor SB (replaced sensors, eng wire harness and O2 sensors). Items I had to fix out of pocket: Replaced both seat belts (drivers squeaking, pass retracting slow), all new rotors (rear crossdrilled) and new pads, rear bilstein sport shocks, alternator, accessory belt with new idler and tension pulley's.
Love the car and hope to have it for a long time. Get to add a Recaro kids seat very soon too!

+1 the grill star isnt a personal fave of mine. It makes the front bulky imo. Love the car color. Ever consider painting or wrapping the roof black? Or get a stock grill and paint it the same color as your wheels?

The intake looks like a homemade thing, I bought it off ebay. Works good, direct shot to the airbox, plus my original felt tube was in poor condition. Ohh, in the pictures you can also see I changed out my INOP horns for the red Pella horns. I got the deeper tone sounding horns.
When I bought the car the seller had the original grill in a box in the trunk. I have never even taken it out to look at it. As far as painting it I think some chrome is still needed to tie together the chrome on the mouldings and the shiny headlights. On a black car I do like the darth vader look however. I might experiment with some different options with the grill, thanks for the feedback. May put the original on and paint it the same color as the wheels between each grill fin.
