Adding aftermarket amp and sub??
My 2003 W203 doesn't have Bose, and pretty sure it doesn't have fiber optics.
I'm guessing the stock sub must be a dual voice coil. It has pos. and neg. wires connected on two sides of the sub.
Can I take those four wires and connect them to an aftermarket amp through the line level inputs, then connect it to my aftermarket sub?
I won't be using the stock sub, it won't be hooked up.
My sub is a Polk DXi104 with a single voice coil.
Anyone know the impedance of the stock wires at the sub?
Will I need a line level converter?

I don't know the answer to your main question but can say that if you have teleaid, a cd changer, ipod kit or phone you have a fiber system. And from my understanding with at least the nav if you don't have anything but nav the fiber cable goes out and then right back in behind the unit lol. That said for adding a sub to a non Bose car it won't matter.
