Black interior was the most typical ordered color in my experience. So, not sure why you are having a hard time finding it.
I will definitely take you up on that, thank you!!

Regarding the interior, perhaps it's how she has the search filter set. She just got a considerable bump in pay, so I assume the filters will loosen a bit to allow some nicer cars into the mix

Congratulations on your wife's bump in pay! In this economy, that is something to celebrate!

Amen to that! God is good.

She is an incredibly hard worker, and puts up with more BS (while wearing a smile) than I ever could. Heck, she puts up with me on a daily basis so she has to be a trooper.

Something like this is exactly what she wants:

In fact, if the cards fall right, we may be looking at this one soon, as it's only a couple of hours away. Price/mileage is certainly right.

Hey! I bought my car there in 2008. They were nice enough. My car had a "Brake Pad Wear" warning in the dash and they put a "we owe brakes" paperwork in with my finance stuff without me having to ask. They also lopped $5,100 off the asking price of my car - from $24,599 to what I ultimately paid $19,499 and it had 25,000 miles and was literally like new. I wouldn't expect any discount on that $17k figure, though, as their ads now say they do not haggle prices.

Almost all of their cars are off-lease vehicles and well cared for.

That looks like a nice ride. Leather, wood, and white (I've always been partial to white). I'm sure she'll like it. Better not let it get away!

I asked my mb dealers tow company what Mercedes do they tow most. The answer was a quick "C Class.". I asked for what reason "all sorts of problems. The fewest tows were the E Class and it was towed only once for a flat tire. My e class has it's problems, but it has never left me, my wife and kids stranded. In fact, it was towed a second time this Tuesday after we were in a head on collision. The car might be totaled, but my wife and kids walked away from the accident with only minor aches and pains. The lady in the c class was hauled off by ambulance.

You think the W210 E-class is an industry standard for reliability? My C-class has never left me stranded. What makes your experience more relevant to mine? Also, there are so many variables in car accidents it is absurd to think that you can judge the saftey of an entire model of car based on one accident. The W203 is a safe car. The W210, in the later years, were also safe cars. Six in one hand, half a dozen in another.

It's normal to want to sing Kumbaya or whatever when you just walked away from a car accident, but they ALL say this. If I had a dime for every time I heard the line "The police said if we'd been in any other car.." I'd be driving an S65 instead of a C230.

But, no worries. We aren't aggressivley looking, she's getting settled into her new job and we're just keeping a general eye out. When the right deal comes along, we'll jump but we're not desparate at all.

Pointers/feedback still accepted though

I just picked up an 05 C230 with 50k miles on it in Mars Red. It was the sales managers wife's car at Orland Park Mercedes so the car was in all ways shapes and form PERFECT. We have a good relationship with them and I picked it up for $14,999. Now that's a deal to look for!

Kompressor Sport Sedan 05 M271
I drive an 05 230kompressor SS, i just hit 104k miles, ther have been very few problems besides user error (my dad crashing the car). They are reliable, quick, smooth, and look very nice! Make sure it was always serviced on time and was taken care of, my car was put through hell for the first 4 years and its still running strong. go test drive a CPO at a benz dealer, if you guys like the feel of the car then shop around for a good deal, if you end up not liking it check out a similar 4 door bmw
