The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I never thought someone would actually use something this juvenile as an insult........

He is kind of a jerk. Pretty funny that everyone hammered him.
So far, I love the car but I have just started to have issues w/it such as:
* power seat module - replaced but still screwing up
* power mirrors memory
* rattling/vibrating hatchback
* clunking suspension
* electrical motor running sound, coming from the area of the sunroof controls, even after 1 hour or more w/car off and no key in.
Have any of you experienced these issues? If so, please let me know what you think the best way to handle them/remedy the condition. I have a service appt. w/dealer next week. Its his $, so please send advice.
Alan

Sunroof has gone out, three times. FJ mercedes has fixed the tracks, and the motor. It is out again right now.
Power Seat on Driver side has gone out twice. Replaced both times.
Dash lost the upper half of the pixels in hot weather. Dealer replaced the LED screen, but they used a different version.
Previously I had two bubbling problems with the back right tire while on Bridgestone Potenzas, but now that I am on Toyo TR-1, no prob.
Problems:
1.) Drivers side seat has a stupid "creak" to it since day 1. And since the creak is where your back rests, everytime the car moves, you hear it. It's freaking annoying as ****, and I'm a little disappointed in this kind of petty problem in a $37k car. I'm not sure about going to the dealer yet, seeing how all they're going to do is take the seat out and (maybe) replace it with a new one, which might also take forever to get done.
2.) MB-Alpine 6-Disc CD changer in glovebox works most of the time, but sometimes, when it doesn't feel like it, it decides to go on an overnight vacation.
I used to have a 2001 Accord EX-V6 and up until the day it was rear-ended and turned into a crumpled soda can, it never gave me a single problem......
My other choice was the 06 BMW 330i.....but I can't stand the way it looks!

You've had this car five months and 6000 miles and this is all that's given trouble? I'd say, then, that MB is getting a handle on their defective cars because my '01 C320's list of warranty repairs is, lets say, a bit longer.
The seat creak is most likely two pieces of plastic contacting and replacing one or both of them will solve the problem, just as it did in my car when new. The CD problem is a warranty issue and will be solved.
Your refusal to take the car back for repairs is quite puzzling.
ive had a lexus, picked the car up new, and by the time i got home the cd changer and navigation wasnt working, never buy one again as the dealer took ages to repair the fault.
Most importantly if your dealers good the experience with the car is alot better.
Goodluck in your ventures and I'm sorry your not happy with your current purchase.
sorry about your problems man.
Problems(Resolved Yes or No):
- sunroof not closing (yes, by resynching the sunroof)
- reverse assisted passenger rear view mirror going down doesn't come back up when going to drive (no, it goes back half way and doesn't correct itself when using the memory feature)
- passenger electric seats do not move (not really, had the chair changed 2-3 times, still has problems from time to time, can be resolved by unplugging and replugging the plug closest to the driver on the bottom)
- squeaky driver seat (no, replaced the seat and still squeaks!)
. You might not have had any problems with your car and think Mercedes makes the best cars. The common conception of Mercedes is that its a high quality car that doesnt have many problems. Its also an expensive car and the assumption is that if you spend more money on a product instead of less money on a cheaper product it will last longer. In my case Iv spent more money and had more problems out of my car than the car I sold to get the benz.Your car is older and most likely used so you should expect some problems.
