You will need to purchase a compatible GPS antenna to go under the dash. It hooks up to the blue farka connector on the back of the COMAND unit.
Also, if you have the upgraded Bose audio system, you will have the get the COMAND unit re-coded to recognize the Bose amp, or if he has the Bose system, you need to get the COMAND unit re-coded to use your stock amp.
Also, his car needs to be a 2005-2007 model or else the COMAND unit is not compatible with your car.
You will also require a navigation DVD. If the disc is an older one (from 2005-2007) you may need a software upgrade to successfully load a current navigation DVD in the unit.
If you want to see navigation instructions in your instrument cluster, you will have to get your car re-coded at the dealer to enable that function.
