1 malfunction
1) I know i should have subscribed when i first got the car because it was for free and also i heard when u unsbscribe there will be no error. i messed up on that one
2) I also know there are computer settings that can remove this but the problem is my dealer will not do it. They claim its some safety issue which protects them. BS if u ask me. Any way, i tried and tried but still nothing can be done.
3)any ideas on how i can get rid of this with out using my dealer?
this is pissing me off so much, i would greatly appreciate any help please
Thanks in advance
It would **** me off if the dealer was unwilling to do anything. In my opinion, the car has a malfunction and it's up to the dealer to fix it. Even if it means resetting it on the computer.
any other ideas would be appreciate it. i will use that idea as a last resport
Good Luck
I signed up for the full year of "free" teleaid, (May 01-Apr 02) then cancelled. It's now been 13 months without teleaid (May 02-June 03) and no message so far.

Question: If the customer declines service how do we remove the "1 Malfunction" message from the IP?
Answer: The "1 Malfunction" message will always remain on the IP if the customer declines the service. Legally it must appear as an indication to the customer that the service is not activated. If you scroll down that menu, you can see it says, "Tele Aid Not Activated" if you need to clarify the malfunction message for your customer.

Congress is not going to waste their time passing a law to allow telematics providers to annoy affluent voters with silly messages on the displays of those voters' expensive cars.
Ask ATX Technologies, MB's telematics provider, to cite the law.
