2008 SLK, 2006 Cadillac SRX, 1994 Cutlass Supreme Convertible
NO HOOD OPEN MESSAGE
Noted that the Hood Open message does not show up on the message center. Tried with engine running and engine off, in gear and out of gear and still no message. Checked all fuses on the vehicle(I.E. in engine compt, in dash, and in trunk). All checked ok. Removed switch from the LH hood lock and checked it with my volt/ohmeter and it checked ok. Does anyone know what circuit this is on? Also wiring to switch appaers to be ok. Any clues would be helpful.

It doesn't have to be fully opened, just popped. And as soon as the car starts rolling, the screen in mine turns red and it beeps loudly while displaying "HOOD OPEN" with a graphic.

THANKS FOR THE HELP. YOU'RE CORRECT THAT THE CAR HAS TO BE MOVING IN DRIVE. TRIED IN MY DRIVEWAY AND IT DOES WORK. THANKS AGAIN.
