Strange heater issues on my '07 C230

Well, here is another issue with my 2007 C230. The heater isn't functioning properly, and with winter coming quick, I need to try and figure this out. Basically, the heater works, but not to its potential. If the car is warm, I can turn the car on and the heater functions normally without any issues. Then about 10 seconds later, it slows down considerably. Once it slows down, it barely puts any air out of the vents. I can turn it up full blast, and can hear the air circulating more now, but still barely blows any air out of the vents.

Even when I turn the front defroster on... before, it sounded like a jet engine taking off, but now, its only about half the air that it was. I can turn the car off, and start it right back up again to fix it, but then 10 seconds later, it idles back down again. Its not set on Auto or anything either. I have no clue where to start since everything does seem to work, just not right. Anyone have any ideas where to look?

My car did this the other day. I was like WTF. Press and hold the front defrost button and the recirc button at the same time. Hold them until the lights start flashing back and forth. This syncs everything up and solved it in my car.

Well, pushing the buttons until they flashed sort of worked, but now the heater only works when the recirc button is lit. The heater still doesn't work right otherwise and I tried the button trick a few different times. Is there something else I missed or am supposed to do?

Sounds like there is a problem in your control module.. That's not uncommon on these cars.
