need sum advice
my lower control arm balljoints are very worn
im in a small town that most likely dont have specific mercedes tools
can a shop remove the entire control arm without the specific balljoint remover? and install?

It depends on if you have a 4matic or rear wheel drive. On a 4matic anyone with a hammer can change them. On a rear wheel drive car you will need to change the entire control arm of the worn ball joint. I would get a new bushings too. I think any shop with a press can do that too. And i would get an alignment too. I hope this helps. You can search this problem. There has bin a few threads about this topic.

If you buy the entire control arm, it will be complete with ball joint and bushings, no need to press new ones in. Any shop should be able to complete this, you'll need an alighment afterwards. Buy them online. rmeuropean is a great source.
BTW, MB never made a C230 in 4-matic in MY2005.
