Thinking about '07 C230...Reliability?
Hey Benzers, I'm in the process of looking for another MB and i saw a great 2007 C230 Sedan with the 2.5 V6 (M272). Wondering if anyone has had any experience with this engine and the model year's transmission, and could tell me what to expect in terms of reliability, response, smoothness etc 
. I had a 2002 C240 for a whole year and didn't really have any major problems with it, although i know the transmission is supposed to be a hassle post-100k. Thanks for reading!

2006 C230 6 speed
Had mine for almost a year. No major problems to report at all. The 2.5 V6 is smooth, coming in at 201 HP don't expect a rocket and it will do you well. I test drove an auto and as well as a 6 speed and went with the manual as it gets more from the small V6. Although if i had my time back i think i would have held out for an C350. But what won me over was the stability at high speeds. It's one of the only cars i have driven that makes 200 km/h seem like 100km/h.
It really is a speeding ticket on wheels if not careful.
I also tested a CTS and an A4 but the smooth V6 mated to a manual gearbox was to good to pass up.

06 C230 SS 6spd
05+ w203 are really reliable. Only real issue is the magnets on the cps but theyre only 20 dollar parts and are easy to replace. I have a 06 and havent had any problems.
