I have a 04 C240 4 Matic with the CD Navigation radio and about a month ago I was listening to the radio and it completely shut off. I pressed the power button and it came back on.

Last night I was listening to it again, and it shut off and there was no power to it at all, non of the lights were now, not even the power button on the radio. This time it would not turn back on. I turned on the AC, I had the heat on, but with the temperature outside and in the car, it was a static temperature, the fan was not blowing, but soon after I turned on the AC, the power light came back on the Radio. I am thinking it was a coincidence but not sure. The radio came back on and has been working ever sense. The first time it happened, I I think the temperature in the car was about 70 degree's as well, no heat or AC running or anything.

Anyone ever encounter anything like this?

Yep, I had it completely loose power once, a couple of months back and wouldn't come back on. When I checked, the fuse for Comand had backed out just a bit, re-seating it seemed to do the trick. It hasn't done that trick since.

Happend to me. I have command and it cut out just as you described and would come back on. FIX: you have either an alternator or battery going bad. I changed both and everything is perfect now.

i was on the highway and it was like 90 degrees and the radio was telling me "Too Hot" on the radio

And yes it is fun but home prices are way to much for what you get. Where I use to live in McLean about two years ago just sold for $845,000. It was an ok town house with nothing going for it really. People are crazy

I forgot you had got a Star, you got it working? I may if you have some time after thanksgiving if you could use your Star to see if it finds anything with my radio. I have done diag mode on it and it does have some errors stored in it.

Yes its insane how much houses cost. Just across the street from you, the McMansion that was built a few years ago that never sold, is up for sale/rent again.

Yeah I saw that it has to many issues like being so close to the road and a Falls Church address. Most people in our area think that having a McLean address makes them better then everyone else lol
