Here's an article from Car South Africa (a bit old) about the C30 CDI... might be of interest to some of you.

The AMG bodykit on the front is so nice looking, as are those split spoke 17s.

that's what? 540 nm is 398 lb-ft of torque...yikes! compared to 332 lb-ft for the c32...

helps u, not others....many in taiwan have complained how it was ruined not because it didn't, in fact it works great, but that other people hit it and becomes "unaligned"...anyway

Yes, me too, looks like a great car.

Even if not this particular one, I'm really wondering about a diesel for our next car. Much better fuel mileage, no sacrifice in power, clean emissions on modern engines... Can't lose.

I think it'll be a few more years, but Diesels will break into the US market and become popular. They match our driving style well (not very high speeds but brisk acceleration and LOTS of torque), they're more efficient, and with the right fuel they pollute less than gas engined cars. They're not for everyone and I don't think they'll replace the gas engine completely but they definitely have a place in 50-70% of the cars driven today.

OK, I'm pretty much sold. I hope they hurry, though; I'm hoping to get a used car in about 3-4 years. Wonder if a used E-Class diesel 4matic will be available by then?

No, they are not. This car has conventional springs and shocks.
