Electric windows not going up when car turned off... normal?

Electric windows not going up when car turned off... normal?
My w203 wont allow the electric windows to go up after I turn off the ignition. I find other cars you have about 30 secs before this shuts off. I always thought this was just part of the w203 (the sunroof you do get about 10 secs to close).
BUT; I spoke to a friend today who had an 03/04 w203 back in the day. He said he clearly remembers his windows did still function for a bit after the key was pulled out.
So...

- Is my w203 behaving normal?
- Is it faulty?
- or is there a setting I need to adjust?

It is normal, as soon as the key is turned to the off position all accessories are turned off in these cars. I do know what you're talking about, its called retained accessory power in GM vehicles and keeps all accessories on until a door is opened.
