Looking good !

The Z5's refelction sure helps to hide the clear bra lines.

Thanks adam! I also put 2 coats of Z5 on the bra, to help match the paint. It really does look seamless.

Hmmm....needs some C7's, but I guess you already knew that, right?

Also, I just ordered some Zaino, should be here Monday. Will it make a big difference on my white car?? I'm going to try it out on a co-worker's black SLK also to see how it looks on black. Can I put it on her chrome wheels too, will it help them shine??

u bet it does! hehe. I got your email matt, sorry I didn't have a chance to respond. Honestly zaino needs a good amount of prep work. It will just not make the paint "shine". If you read the stick threads in the detailing forum it will help you and show you how the properly prep your car (or co-workers). I'd recommend doing a good wash and at least claying the vehicle. Yes I would put it on the wheels, make sure you clean them well with dawn dish washing soap.

how long does it take you to do all of this?
I did the 5 coats over the course of 4 weeks. I applied 2 the first day we got the car, and then applied 3 this past week. each session took about 4 hours, to wash and zaino. The second time required some spot buffing due to residue left by the white plastic shipping film.

I love the invisibility of the clear bra! Now I'm thinking about getting it again. I just don't know who to use because I'm afraid of some monkey messing things up (like the dumb tint guys I used).

In order to shorten the amount of time I spend on it, I already washed and clayed the car yesterday. Then I am going to give it a good wash in Dawn and get started with the Zaino some day this week, as soon as it shows up. I'm thinking I'll do one coat of Z5 and two coats of Z2 on my car, and I guess 3 coats of Z5 on the black car. Does that sound good?

Alboston, very nice pics. You could have left out any mention of a bra, and I don't think anyone would have even known.

Nuts, I've got to read up in the Detailing forum...

Matt did you get ZFX? I think you should go all Z2 on your car and all Z5 on the black car. Just my personal opinion.

btw oggle, how do u like that underdrive pulley?

I like it actually. My car felt a little bit more torquey (if that's a word) after having it on. However, after I upgraded from my 16" to 18" wheels, I think the effects got cancelled out due to the heavier/bigger wheels. But that's ok, considering if I didn't have the pulley, the car would be even slower.

Yeah, I got the ZFX. And I'll definitely take your advice on the Z2 and Z5. You're the expert.

The only time I can see scratches on my white anyway is under the really bright shop lights. And I'm sure the Z2 fills in surface scratches to some extent.

hehe matt, do not expect Z5 OR Z2 to fill swirls/scratches. Z5 can be used to fill very very faint swirls.

Hmmm....false advertising on the Z5 then. I knew it had to be too good to be true. But I was hopeful anyway. So on the black car, if it is scratched, I guess I should buff it first? It was buffed about 3 weeks ago as it is brand new, but it's not a good job, that's why she wants it redone already. I'm just doing it to make up some of the money I spent on all this stuff.

1 coat of Z5 then Z2 took care of most of the swirls on my car.

I hope you are using ZFX now . Z5 does fill swirl marks, but I wouldn't try and fudge a detail job by skipping the prep work (buffing with abrasives) and just hope Z5 could take place of all that.

Oh yes, i ordered the ZFX with the Z5. I dont know how i lived without it.:p Buffing with abrasives is not required for a good finish is it? Like if there are no swirls abrasives would serve no purpose?

Thats correct, no abrasives are needed if there are no swirls/scratches. In this case a fine polish could be used to enhance surface gloss.
