W203 Cluster Removal

Hi

Can anyone tell me how I can remove the Instrument Cluster from a C-Class W203? This is the VDO cluster which has two little slots on each side. I Know this all comes out in one piece (Including the outer cover which has the stalk on the left) but how is it done?

Thanks

Nad

I saw Steve remove it and he used a special Mercedes tools. He inserted it into the 2 holes, the he turned them (i think clockwise) and then removed the hole dash. It's a 10 seconds job with the adecuate tools. I don't know if you can do it with something else or not.
Hope this helps !

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if the Mercedes Tools used were the old C-Class (W202) Cluster removal hooks? I have a pair of these but thought the W203 needed something else? The W202 Cluster simply sits in the dash, whilst the W203 appears to be clipped/locked in somehow?

You Can Use The MB Combi Hooks that will release the combi on the W203 Insert them L/R and they will Release the clips and the combi will slide out.
