Stupid Drivers Side Turn Signal Bulb

How the heck do I get to this thing? The passenger side of the engine compartment is completely open.

The drivers side...I can't bend my arm/hand/wrist anywhere the right way to get around the lines/frame to twist/turn/pull the socket.

I'm guessing I need to pull my wheel off and remove the fender liner?

How have you guys done this?

You should be able to get access without any issues that is strange. Unless you have big hands or the 4matic changes something?

It isn't any different on 4matics. Just have to bend your wrist and reach with your fingers. Very straight forward once you feel around and get a better idea of the area by working on the passenger side first.

Problem is it's not. The passenger side is completely open. The drivers side has a a bunch of lines, and the frame, directly behind the light housing.

It's the same on all 203's... just reach with your index and middle fingers.

Finally twisted myself around to do it last night. I was able to "just" love aside some lines. However, I noticed the factory had inserted the more yellow bulbs that are meant for a bi-xenon equipped car, instead of the more orange/amber ones that are spec'd for a halogen equipped car like mine. They are two different model number bulbs. I'm thinking about getting the other bulbs - I like how they look better, and they fit the grooves/track better in the bulb mount.
