hood issue
I tried to check engine oil this morning but had trouble keeping the hood open. It seems the left strut that keeps the hood up is leaking. Has anyone replaced the hood supports? do both sides need to be replaced or just the one with the hold/release red button? Any input is appreciated.

Until you buy new hood struts, you can extend the hood fully by pressing the red button. That strut (the one with red button) will lock in place with the hood fully extended.
