c230k 2003 ball joint problem
Hi guys,
I have my car for 4 years now, and i have to change my upper and lower control arms on both sides for the 5th time, not because of the bushings but because of the ball joints. All four of them have a loose. The first time i installed FEBI ones, but after i realised 8 month after that i have to change again, i installed MOOG because they come with lifetime warranty, that basically is LEMFORDER bag in MOOG box thats for the lower arms, but i still have to pay for the upper (aluminium) ones and alignement every 8 to 10 months. I understand that driving in Montreal Canada is rough for the suspension but not every 20000km. My stabilizer links are good, i only changed them once when i just bought the car.
If anyone have any idea why that happen to me so often, please help.
Thank you

2003 but are u tightening the nut on the balljoint too tight?
u need to tighten the bolts when theirs no jack stand under the car
in essence tighten everything with load on and load off

I knew that i have to tight it with load on it (with wheels on the floor without any jack or stand) i'm doing it for the bushing side not the ball joint side. because i'm doing it in my garage without a car lift, i'm installing everything i tight the ball joints, but i leave the bushing bolt loose until i drop the front wheels on ramps to have enough space under the car to slide my body to tight the bushings.
