Thumbs up Max performance out of a C230K???

Does anyone know what is the max performances you could get out of a C230K? I sometimes wish they would offer a V6 version of the coupe.

I disagree, since they give you the blower and all the plumbing for free (essentially) it offers a TON of tuning possibilities that don't exist in a naturaly aspirated engine. all you would need to get about 280-320hp from the C230 is do a pully kit; maybe "rebuild" the blower to get a little more kick; pull the heads and port-polish, bigger valves; add a girdle for the main caps; screw with the engine management software to accept the increased boost and RPM, and viola a chunk 'o' power. for realistic bolt-on upgrades (custom pulley, custom dyno-tuned chip, intake, exhaust) you may be able to squeeze out 250hp.

250horses sounds realistic out of a 2.3L supercharged engine. I will do that.

Lexus IS300....then lettin my buddy Mo at SRT get ahold of it The Brabus V8 cost anywhere from 18-24k to have done to your car.....

By a Lexus IS300 and spend 18-24k on it and you will have about 600 rwhp!

You'd still be stuck with the taillights, though.

What are they, carbon fiber? That's damn expensive, though if it makes the rear end look less gimmicky, it'd be worth it.

Be sure to post pics of the lights, benzy. IS300 was in the running but got out-priced/out-looked by the benz. I've no regrets. 'D love the Lexy as a second car

BTW, whats rwhp stand for - rear-whoopping horse power?

the back ones are carbon fiber and the front are black housed......rwhp = rear wheel horse power....the biggest reason I like it is because of all the upgrades you can do to it. Plus its less pricey on after market products!

I suppose if hp is the only consideration the IS has an advantage... but then again if thats the only consideration you can get a Honda Civic and tweak it to 400 for not much. I think on my 230 I'm going for Brabus 18" Monoblock V rims, AMG exhaust, and maybe a short shifter (after reading that other thread). Good move on the taillights, now it can look it respectable.
