Last Free Service!

Just had my last 'free' service performed on my '01 C320 at 48K miles. Besides changing the oil and filter they changed the wiper inserts, dust filter, and even flushed the brake fluid! The dealer said ESP requires regular brake fluid changing. They also found a nail in a tire and fixed it for free! Still have original tires and they said it was getting close to needing new ones, but I think there's another 5 - 10K miles left on them.

Great to read that they really took care of your car.

Hopefully you'll just need to get an occasional oil change and so forth from now on.

Who is your dealer, FJ ? And who did you deal with as service manager?

Off track a little, did you wear a suit and tie, casual or jeans. Some people feel they are treated differently by what they wear.
I have the following critera for what I wear at work, suit/shirt and tie for a vice president of a company and greater, company casual for all others. But to get better service at a MB dealer I would do the tie thing because my car is an important part of my life. I spend one tenth of my life in the car, almost more than with the wife.

I am 22, I go with Jeans and a T-Shirt and they kiss my a$$ from the moment I walk in until I leave. And they refuse to call me by my first name...it's always Mr. Cohen...grr

Yes, my dealer is FJ. I deal with a different service advisor each time, this time it was Larry. My wife dropped the car off for this last service. I wear casual clothes all the time and they have been pretty consistent with treating me well. My only complaints have been that when a part is needed it takes another visit. Once they had my car for 5 days! They give MB loaners ( E and C class) so it's not a problem, just an inconvenience.

Is it okay to see different service advisor each time? I thought you would develop better relationship with the S.A. if u always go to the same one.

btw I go to FJ too, according to your experience who is the best S.A. there?

Thanks

Best SA at FJ?

"Best" at what? None of the service problems I've experienced were caused by an SA. Lack of on site spares and delayed parts delivery have been most of my issues. They've all been pleasant, listened well, and filled out accurate service tickets.
