2002 C240 Electronics Failed
Yesterday morning I started my C240 and pushed the button on my rear view mirror to open my garage door. I wouldn't open so I opened it with the wired button in my garage.
I started realizing that a number of things driven by electricity were not functioning: the speedometer, the tachometer, the gas gage, the dashboard lights, the heater, the directional signals, the W and S buttons on the shifter, the headlights, and I'm guessing more.
I drove the 25 or so miles to my destination and attended a meeting that lasted 3 or so hours. I left the meeting, got into my car, and when I started it, everything was working again.
As far as I can tell, no fuses blew. I am concerned; however, that car is about to cost me a small fortune to have it repaired (if the same thing happens again). Do any of you folks have an idea or two about what might be happening and what I should do about it?
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dick Gleason
